It is said that we make sense of the world by telling ourselves stories, that narrative makes chaos coherent. In Psalms 90:9, it is said that ‘we spend our years as a tale that is told,’ and that is how it is; each life is a life lived within the wrath of the Word, each life participates within many stories, and each story adds shape and contour to the landscapes which we occupy, landscapes conjured into physical reality by our stories and their versions.
